Role: SharePoint Developer

Location:Dublin 8 (D8)

Onsite:2 days per week

Primary Focus:Modern SharePoint front-end development, UX, branding, and page design


🎯 Core Role Purpose

A SharePoint Developer responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing SharePoint Online environments with a strong emphasis on front-end development, modern page layouts, UX, and branding consistency. The role works closely with a dedicated SharePoint back-end resource to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

🔑 Key Focus Areas

  1. Modern SharePoint page layouts & design

  2. Building visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly SharePoint Online pages

  3. Improving UX, navigation & structure

  4. Streamlining user journeys, site architecture, and content discoverability

  5. Branding and visual consistency

  6. Implementing corporate branding, themes, and style guidelines across sites

  7. Collaboration with SharePoint back-end resource

  8. Coordinating front-end and back-end development for seamless delivery

📌 Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and customize SharePoint Online sites, pages, components, and UI elements.

  2. Maintain and support existing SharePoint environments, ensuring stability and performance.

  3. Implement solutions using SPFxJavaScriptTypeScriptReactHTMLCSS, and modern front-end frameworks.

  4. Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring reliable data flow across multi-tier systems.

  5. Manage replication, mirroring, security configurations, compression, traffic analysis, and automation processes.

  6. Oversee storage, backup provisioning, and high-availability readiness.

  7. Troubleshoot issues across web servers, networks, databases, storage systems, and load-balancing layers.

  8. Ensure adherence to branding, accessibility, and UX best practices.

🧩 Required Technical Skillsets

Core Front-End & SharePoint Skills

  1. SharePoint Online experience(mandatory)

  2. Strong UI/UX focus

  3. Modern SharePoint page design & SPFx

  4. HTML / CSS / JavaScript(preferred)

  5. Experience with responsive design, navigation structures, and branding frameworks

Supporting Technical Skills

  1. MS Visual Studio

  2. SQL Server integration with SharePoint

  3. Understanding of:

  5. Security & compliance

  6. Compression & traffic analysis
