SENIOR COBOL DEVELOPER / TECHNICAL LEAD (L2 & L3)

We are currently hiring experienced Senior COBOL Professionals to join a leading enterprise client in Ireland.

Open Positions

1. Senior COBOL Developer (L2)– Dublin

2. Senior COBOL Technical Lead (L3)– Limerick

Hybrid with 2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise COBOL applications.

2. Analyse business and technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

3. Support, troubleshoot, and optimise mission-critical mainframe applications.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

5. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.

6. For the Technical Lead role, provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and drive solution delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

1. L2:Minimum 5+ years of COBOL development experience.

2. L3:Minimum 10+ years of COBOL development experience, including proven technical leadership.

3. Strong hands-on experience with: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IBM Mainframe (z/OS)

4. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

5. Experience working on large enterprise applications.

Essential Requirement

1. Previous professional experience working in Ireland is mandatory.

2. Candidates must have strong knowledge of the Irish banking, financial services, or enterprise IT environment.

3. Applicants without Irish work experience will not be considered.
